    The Americans became interested in the game but it was difficult for them to differentiate the Chinese characters used in the game. To attract players, at the beginning of the 20th century keno operators decided to replace the Chinese characters with Arabic numbers.

    Although in 1931 most forms of gambling were legalized the legislature did not legalize lottery. To overcome these problems keno operators decided to change the name of the game to Race Horse Keno. Each number was considered to be a horse.
Nowadays the game is still called “race”. But in time the name was changed once again to remain simply Keno.

    There are three major components that make up keno:

    After choosing all the numbers you wanted to you can start playing the game. If the numbers you have chosen match with the numbers drawn then you win.
 
Players can usually participate in a game of keno in several locations throughout the casino, but the game is actually "played" in the Keno Lounge. The Keno Lounge consists of chairs, tables or desks in rows facing the display board.
    Mark your cards, place your bet and watch the results of the draw.
